Selling an antique, blue-decorated Stoneware Beer Bottle made for thePaterson, New Jersey Brewery of Philip Pfannebecker, Sr., 1-Quart capacity, ca.1870. Cylindrical, wheel-thrown form with tapered shoulder and oversized blob top. Impressed with a crisp “P within diamond” Trademark stamp and; P PFANNEBECKER below the stamp. In addition, two large freehand cobalt “B”s (Birch Beer) flank the stamps. Condition is EXCELLENT with only minor signs of use and age. No chips, no cracks, no roughness on spout, one small (1/4") glaze pop from the firing, no damage. Pfannebecker was a well-known brewer of Weiss, Spruce, Birch, Cherry and other regional beers using the ingredients of the highest quality.
