Vintage Sayre & Fisher "Phoenix" Fire Bricks made in Sayreville, NJ I have read that Sayre & Fisher bricks were used to build the foundation of the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, and Rockefeller Center These bricks came out of my fireplace of a house circa 1920s so they are approximately 100 years old Full size brick measurements are: 9 1/8" long x 4 1/2" wide x 2 1/2" high 5 of them are in very good condition, 3 are probably in very good condition once the concrete is removed, and the rest of them have missing pieces.
