Electric Hodaka Ace 100 with Plate, Tabs and Title. (Project Bike/Mo) Phoenix AZ

This is a custom built electric moped with title and active tabs. I'm selling it because it needs a more powerful battery to be useful and I'm going to be moving later this year. I've also lost access to my workshop due to being laid off at my company so I can’t work on it. What you're mainly getting is a street legal Hodaka Ace legally registered as a moped. Meaning you don’t need a motorcycle license to ride. This was extremely hard to do. Extremely hard to register this bike as a street legal bike, but I did it. The bike has some major issues that need to be worked out. I estimate this would take some hard work and fabrication to get to a more fun rideable condition. If you live in a flat area you could enjoy riding as is. Seattle is not flat. You could potentially rebuild this as a gas bike. It currently works but these are the issues: The battery is too weak to provide proper torque to the motor. It works, but it can’t climb and it's pretty slow. (30MPH top speed but accelerates very slowly with very little torque) The battery should be upgraded to a 72 volt. This would require reprogramming the controller. This would fix all the issues and make it more fun to ride. I estimate a good quality 72 volt battery would be $2,000. The front forks need oil they currently bottom out easily. The rear brake arm needs to be adjusted; the lever is currently too high. (Foot brake) The 12 volt system works but would need a different DC-DC converter if the system voltage was changed to let's say 72 volts. Someone tried to steal it from me and damaged the key lock. The key lock works but it would be nice to replace the damaged cylinder at some point. The key still goes in and turns the cylinder I won’t be able to help you rebuild the bike or give you wiring diagrams. I'd consider helping a bit if you are in Seattle but can’t make any commitments. I'm just doing other things. Current Specs: 52 Volt EM3EV battery (High quality battery but very underpowered for the system) 3,000 Watt Golden motor (Mid Drive) Kelly Controller 48-72 Volt (I think the KEB model) Working signals, horn and lights Title Active tabs for 2023 Working tires Drum brakes front and rear Grin tech display 52v Battery Charger included. (I think it's a 5amp charger and takes perhaps 10 hours to charge)
