GS500 track/street rat Phoenix AZ

This bike is probably a project and needs to go to someone who will love it like I did. It is all there, if not all pretty. The GS500 is a medium-displacement vertical-twin air-cooled Japanese standard/"naked"-sport bike. It is easy to work on, with dedicated forums, lots of how-tos, etc. Suzuki imported for 15-yrs in naked form, then again later in a faired version. Very common moto. -Ex-track bike, unknown mileage as speedo was disconnected, and replacement speedo cables keep breaking (currently broken, think these aftermarket cables are crummy) -Known problem: engine breather is discharging oil when running--"blow by"-- so, probably needs new rings with cylinder-hone, but that's a guess. Or, just put breather into a can to catch oil. Was otherwise running well when I put into storage years ago. -Battery is dead. -Don't see any problems with seals, etc., but they could be getting old/brittle. All fluids should be checked/swapped. *Has been down many times and put back together. I polished flame swirls into the side cover that was scratched-up. *Textured-sparkly black rattle-can paint job (over the horrible, both in execution and color, purple livery someone thought was a good race bike color) *After-market solo-seat fairing ("racer" style). Original full seat is underneath with newer foam and vinyl, but don't have original body panel. *Tyres look OK, but are probably just getting old at this point. *Believe chain, sprocket, brakes are good—I’d serviced or replaced them. *I cleaned and rust-removered the tank at one point, seems pretty good. Been sitting bone dry in storage. *Airbox delete to oval filter, with correct carb needle/jet tuning (it was running very well). *Stock exhaust. *Swapped shock to something a little nicer (forget what swap it was, but common stock shock swap from a higher-spec Suzuki) *Front forks have some preload spacers installed (solid acrylic rod) *Comes with RACING accessories: clip-on bars (currently has straight bars installed), molded racing underbody pan (not mounted), misc bin of parts. *Lots of silly little mods: bar end mirrors, hand guards (metal with plastic shields), all LED turn signals (integrated into license plate frame), LED indicator lamps, engine guards mounted (newer, post previous crashes, so "new"), lots of SS socket-cap bolts, quick-disconnect on fuel line (auto-closing), etc. History: years ago, buddy bought this as an already-converted track/race bike. It had some dubious mods and a horrible purple paint job. He then had a kid, it went under his porch, and was neglected. I started riding on a small moto, then was looking for something bigger (full size)--he suggested take this GS500 off his hands to practice while I looked. "Just needed some new gas." I put lots of time into making it street legal again, tuning it, painting over the horrible purple, etc. I rode around town, took some track day classes with it, and it was a blast. I got my "nice" bike, a W650, and this bike was neglected. It has been in storage (basement garage) for a few years. I need the space back and have finally admitted I do not have time for all the projects. I also don't have lots of time for flaky CL interactions. They do fit-up tight and straight.
