$300 is for the pair The maker was Salvatore Leone, from Modena, Northern Italy. These are based on the Thonet catalog no. 17 chairs. Chairs feature both "Made in Italy" and Leone's workshop tag "S L, Marchio di Fabbrica Depositato." Unsure of the date, this style of chair was manufactured for Thonet by several European craftsmen. My guess, based on similar examples, label condition, and fabrication, I'd date these to 1900-1930 Fair condition and are priced accordingly. These are antiques with flaws expected for objects this age. Caning has losses, there are many wear scratches, rubbing, etc. They are structurally sound. Please review all images and ask questions.
