Yamaha SBG-2000 Phoenix AZ

Yamaha SBG-2000 made in 1981. The condition is very good for its age. I've seen other specimens of this guitar for sale and this one here is in relatively better shape. They seem to be fairly rare in any condition. I'll be posting more pictures soon, please email if interested or you have any questions. This guitar produces a huge variety of tones from the push-pull humbuckers, and I found with the volume knobs at 10 there's extra crispy top end available that's like a whole other tone. The single coil mode of the neck pick sounds like a tele neck to me, buttery smooth. Selling because I gig a lot and would like to downgrade to a less precious & vintage guitar than this one. This guitar has been gigged maybe 10 times for 1-2 songs each show, and never disappoints. The action, fret wear, tuning stability, intonation, are all excellent. Tuners work very well. The finish is not clouding like some other SBG-2000's you will see. The binding is in excellent shape all over. Comes with OHSC in good condition. ISSUES: 1) My understanding is the guitar is all original except, a couple volume/tone knobs have been replaced. The original knobs are included in the sale. 2) The neck humbucker ring is cracked and can/will be repaired with a simple super glue application. 3) The bridge humbucker push-pull mechanism is stuck in single-coil mode.
