Staff Accountant - Entertainment with GL Experience Phoenix AZ

The responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you'll have responsibility over many aspects of internal reporting. This position will also require you to participate in compliance, as well as communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. A good deal of time in this position will be spent on producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Responsibilities - Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation - Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules - Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision - Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested - Be responsible for analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management - Help with the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls under SOX and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP - Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments - Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation - Ready complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll - Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner If you are interested in this position, please send your resume to: Sheena.Neal@RobertHalf.com
