The portfolio accountant position supports fixed income investment management team in an operations capacity. Requires organized individual to handle trade confirmation, input and settlements, account reconciliation, and Bloomberg data downloads and inputting. This person is the portfolio administrator who acts as the firm's liaison with custodian banks and dealer trading desks and plays an integral role in all client reporting functions. Excellent opportunity for a team-oriented candidate seeking daily interaction with portfolio management team acting as the portfolio accountant. Candidate must demonstrate the following: • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills. • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent computer skills. Proficient with MS Office 2010, especially Excel proficiency, to enable multi-tasking on projects involving spreadsheet applications. Ability to learn and master multiple software programs and desktop applications. • Detail-oriented, comfortable with numbers and have resourceful, take charge attitude. • 4-Year college degree and 15 years experience in portfolio operations and/or related financial services.
