The time has come to sell my 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650. This is one of the cleanest Ninja 650s of this generation for sale on Craigslist. Adult owned, ridden, and maintained throughout its entire life. The Ninja 650 is a jack-of-all-trades sport bike, known for its comfortable, yet sporty riding position, and torquey 649cc parallel twin engine. With 72 horsepower and 49 ft-lbs of torque, a skilled rider can get this bike up to 60 mph in the high 3 second range. This bike feels right at home on a twisty back road, and it’s balanced riding position is perfect for daily commuting and long days in the saddle. The tank holds a modest 4.2 gallons, and you can expect to get 45-50 mpg all day long. Here's a brief history of the bike. This bike spent its first 10 years with one adult owner. It was regularly maintained, garage stored, NEVER modified, and only ridden 1,620 miles. Yes, you read that last part correctly. I purchased the bike from the original owner just over 1 year ago and have ridden it roughly 2,300 miles in that time. Under my ownership, the bike has always been stored with a bike cover in a parking garage, seen regular maintenance, and given a few tasteful modifications. Here are all the modifications and maintenance items I have done over my ownership of the bike. • New Dunlop RoadSmart 3 Front & Rear Tires (1,500 miles driven) • Zero Gravity Double Bubble Windscreen • Yoshimura Fender Eliminator • T-Rex Frame Sliders • LED Low-Beam / High-Beam / DRLs • NGK Iridium Spark Plugs • Rear Stand Spools • Progrip Handlebar Grips • Oil / Filter and Brake Fluid were changed roughly 2,000 miles ago. • Chain cleaned and lubricated roughly every 400-500 miles. • Air Filter checked & cleaned As you can see, this bike has been cared for and maintained its whole life. It has very low mileage for its age at only 3,900 miles. The bike has no problems, no codes, and has never been laid down. For its age, it is in excellent shape. The fairings and paint look great with just a few small scuffs and scratches, normal for a bike of this year. This bike has been a ton of fun, and it pains me to let her go. While I would love to hold onto her, I have plans to get into more long-distance riding, and it's time to move on to a proper sport-touring bike. This bike has so much life left in her and she is ready to be passed on to the next lucky owner. With all that in mind, I am asking $5,600 for the bike.
