Beautiful Philips B5X34A/54 Stereo Vacuum Tube Radio - Made in Holland The radio is in beautiful unrestored condition. I bought this about three years ago here on Craigslist. All I have done to it is clean the buttons and knobs and make an auxiliary input cable for it. It has some minor cosmetic wear and a piece broke off one of the feet sometime in its past, before my ownership (as shown in the last image). In my opinion, it is in very good condition for its age. I have used it occasionally to listen to the radio and my iPhone. I have been able to receive a couple of Austin stations of interest to me without much trouble just using the antennas it came with (it has an internal antenna and then the wire antenna attached to the rear, as shown in the images). It is capable of tuning shortwave and I experimented with that on a couple occasions - I was able to pull in a couple of stations just using those antennas it came with. With a better external antenna, tuning performance would probably be even better. I received this radio in working order and have not had any problems with it. So, it has not had any work done during my ownership and is still using the same tubes it had when I bought it (the previous owner also only used it occasionally and didn’t have any specific information about the tube history or vintage). I can only confirm the functionality I have used myself, as noted in preceding description. This is vintage radio equipment and is being sold as is. I have an inverter so this can be demonstrated wherever we agree to meet up. The second to last image shows the cable I made which allows connecting a line level source, such as a CD / MP3 player, a turntable with high level outputs (built in preamp), a phone, etc. That is how I connected my iPhone. The cable just plugs into a socket on the back of the unit. This radio has built in speakers on either side, so this can be used as a standalone table top radio. Connecting an auxiliary source is optional if such functionality is desired. Some more information and specifications are available here: https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/philips_b5x34a.html I am in the Dripping Springs area and can meet in that area, the Oak Hill area, or the Bee Caves area. As noted earlier in the description, I have an inverter so this can be demonstrated wherever we agree to meet up.
