1977 JC Penney Pinto moped Phoenix AZ

Selling a quite well kept example of a fairly uncommon and cult classic 2 stroke moped. Bought as a bit of a fixer upper, it has been gone through fairly completely with a lot of new parts to replace what has aged and broken over the years. • new tires n tubes • new cables (brakes throttle and clutch) • new grips, levers, and throttle tube (all aftermarket and decent quality) • brake shoes replaced at some point as they're not new but very clearly not original • unsure on chains, but hold tension well and have been kept very clean and well lubricated In addition, the whole moped is in very clean condition, with only minor scuffs and scrapes, but no rust or damage. Chrome isn't flawless but all shines up quite nicely. Has only ever been spot cleaned while I've owned it, would look fantastic with a good detailing. It runs, idles, and have ridden a pair of short times, but messing with the engine and carb haven't been on my list of work yet. A handy DIYer or any halfway competent mechanic could have it purring with ease. Overall it's a clean classic that's a few bits and turns of the wrench away from being an awesome barhopper, pitbike, or gift for your little ones. Asking a very fair price so someone can snatch up a cool vintage Xmas gift. Many of these earlier mopeds (aka pre 80's plastic rush) in this condition and running/riding will be between $900-$1300.
