Then you may go to our bronxriverbicycleworks.com link to express to our Wordpress Website and to READ OUR HOMEPAGE to understand which various Upgrades we proffer and recommend to our clientele and where we recount their accolades regarding the benefits such as I personally gleaned over the now 34 years since I managed what now is currently the biggest bicycle shop in the metropolitan Boston Region in Cambridge MA the Bicycle Workshop now Cambridge Bicycles nest door to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology just down the street Massachusetts Avenue from Harvard University where I doubled the New Bicycle Sales in 9 months did all shop service estimates and call backs, increased accessory sales and was close acquaintance to the Bicycle Repair Collective now the Broadway Bicycle School around 1980 look them up they have grown and developed impressively apparently on their better than ever website look them up. I worked as a mechanic and salesperson at the Helen's of Westwood and Santa Monica CA and mechanic at the Different Spokes Bicycle shop on US Route 1 on the Norwalk/Westport Line in CT. In 1987 I realized that the shortcomings of the bicycle store establishments for which I had worked and having at that younger age had worked 16 years in customer service at a public golf course where as an instructor at the summer clinic was being solicited for private lessons by the clinic children's parents who were watching from the parking lot for which I mentioned the occasion to the golf pro for who I had been working nearly 3 years who said really and I said yeah and he asked me again really? And I said yeah and he said your fired! I then worked in a noteworthy Men's and Boys garment retail moving along to Fine Men's and Formal for equally notable establishments one the quite exceptional and on I went to work in one of the earliest original Levi's Denim Stores and also did day to day operations Maintenance, Warehouse, Pricing, Inventories Management and Floor Sales all while I went to high school and then on to Boston and a spotty collegiate record but to find a definite piece of the heart of the beautiful Cambridge MA community which was quite affordable in the late 70's and a quite magical place where I had asked every bicycle shop in the city for a job but lacking actual bicycle mechanical experience none would hire me so I went on to manage a not for profit farm where we as associated with the Boston Urban Gardeners to develop their open air green markets where the farm marketed their products. While then in southern New Hampshire I met a bicycle store owner who came on his off hours when we were having the B.U.G. weekend volunteers various visits for soils preparation, roto tilling, propagation, beds preparation seeding or transplanting, cultivation, organic pest problem management, harvesting, packaging, transportation as well as surplus production marketing for 3 years. When he came to visit the project, i had already had several previous visitations and discussions with him in his NH bicycle store in the southern tier where he also sold skis and other sportiv sundries so I asked him if he had any work to do for me in the off season and he said no as in 1982 there wasn't much of the snow capable bikes and he had a slow bicycle season approaching and was switching to the skis program but he knows the guy with the shop next to MIT who lived in southern New Hampshire who was looking for a guy. I said I already asked him for a job twice to which with no he replied he was calling the guy with his verbal recommendation and to just go down there where I doubled the 12 year old establishments New Bicycle Sales in only the 9 monoths I worked there from 565 units to 1165 where I had personally sold around 965 units and was working towards a second Sales Bonus Bicycle having already received the 1 the best bike I might have ever personally owned yet due to circumstance never rode much and departed from the establishment and put the bike with various belongings in storage to be left behind and relocated to CT where I had been brought up with the Los Angeles CA, then CT bicycle shop jobs which also was not optimal employment in the bag already when I like to say I look funny, I talk too much, nobody's going to give me a job in the real world, I had a bike a bag and a lock and I could read and write and I had a job and I could find a spot to open a bicycle shop as I had doubled a shop sales in 9 months and so as a NYC Bicycle Messenger for a decade riding 1000 miles per month you can say I cut my teeth at the art and sport of bicycle riding and whilst buying every quality bicycle magazine of the moment for which I must say were better 30 years ago than they are today with more cogent bicycle geometrical, frame size, materials of manufacture branding and frame assembly welding specifications and the then essentially more dependable more standardized and interchangeable available components where if you had just spent enough money you world have gotten a bicycle with routine light cleaning and penetration lubrication applications the bicycle woul never have rusted and worked for years of heavy duty use typically problem free! 3 parts of Diesel Fuel and 1 part of Motor Oil become Love Potion Number Nine to penetrate lube your bicycle, it removes bike grime, cleans, weatherizes and lubricates as the Diesel dilutes the oil viscosity so it could now be drawn via surface attraction penetrating where otherwise it would never do anything but collect dirt and dry up withbeing drawn into the parts whereupon it is deposited as the diesel evaporates. Diesel is nice but light and evaporates, Oil is too heavy but combined Love Potion Number Nine is cheap works awesome even on rusty chains (shame on you) and keep everything happily operational, 5 cents work can clean a bike and lube it for a month, I blab about it on my website. Customer Service is one of our Specialties So I studied all the bicycle mags, read some manuals of bicycle repair, bought tools to fix my bicycle and essentially did all the bicycle maintenance and tuning for my 10 year approximately 120,000 mile Manhattan stop and go, draft buses at 50mph and enjoy all the tips I learned for which I feature them as Added Value Upgrades which I recount them mostly on my website Home Page! Just go to the above Google Map and Click on it and go to our 66 4.2* Reviews and to our Website link as featured to compare with our competitors and buy an IBD Independent Bicycle Dealer delivered bicycle "For the Love of Bicycling" and tell us how much our strapless mini toeclips have made you ride More, More Effectively, More Enjoyably, More Affordably with more owner Satisfaction!!!
