1978 Ericson 25 Fixed Keel (rare) She's turn key ready to take you wherever you want to go. If you're just looking for a boat to live and don't plan on sailing, you'll find cheaper out there. If you want a classic excellent sailing sailboat and a small liveaboard (with the approval of the marina if you have job and references), this is your boat. Ericson sailboats are famous for their beast and beauty. Double hulls (inner fiberglass hull with beautiful mahogany interiors. Outside excellent layup and designed by Bruce King a famous navel architect. Extra heavy rigging for a 25, this one with spanking new mainsail and mainsail cover. Most E25s were made with a folding swing keel. A few were produced with a fixed keel, elska is one of those. The gel coat is in excellent condition. 5,100 pounds displacement, 2,500 pounds of lead in her keel (under the floors). Compare to any other 25ft sailboat and these numbers translate to a solid, fast, roomy vessel. But don't believe me, do a Google search for "ericson 25 Oystercatcher lV" and read an incredibly extensive blog (not my writing) about just why the Ericson 25 was such a supreme sailboat in speed, agility, design, and engineering. The boat is designed for maximum liveaboard livability. The V birth with it's custom mattress and moisture barrier allows for comfortable dry sleep even in the coldest winter when condensation can become a real problem. Not a small problem if not addressed. Has fridge, sink and 25 gallon water tank, storage, cabinets, drawers, and countertops. Full electrical onboard, comes with super long 30amp ship to shore cord This sailboat has a head with a door (rare among 25ft sailboats) with bracketed bucket porta potty. Hanging Closet and shelf. The Mahogany hatch which matches the mahogany throughout the boat is tough and beautiful. Comes with Genoa and Storm Jib in decent shape. The motor is a 4stroke Honda 8hp outboard, 6 gallon tank, runs like a champ Depth Finder (works with your phone). Has two anchors. The slip she's in may be available for liveaboard. Monthly cost of slip is $225. She is well maintained, and has been a fantastic sailboat sailing hundreds of hours even in the windiest weather Sails great to weather (upwind). Sleeps up to three (4 if you remove the fridge). You won't find a 25ft boat (that's trailerable) with more to offer.
