Katahdin Sheep Breeding Stock Phoenix AZ

Registered Katahdin ewes and rams for sale. Katahdins are a shedding sheep, so no shearing hassle is required. They are calm and hardy sheep, with very strong maternal instincts. They usually have twins, and can often raise triplets unassisted. We raise our sheep in a grass-fed environment, and breed for animals that can thrive on marginal forages, difficult terrain and in all weather, and lamb on pasture with no supervision or handling. We participate in the National Sheep Improvement Program (NSIP) so we have Estimated Breeding Values (EBVs) on all breeding stock, to help you choose animals based on statistical performance metrics. Our flock is OPP, CL and Johnes free. Our ewes are in breeding groups now, and will be sold as exposed/bred ewes starting Thanksgiving weekend, due to lamb in April. We have one mature ram for sale, and several 7-month old rams appropriate for use as herd rams.
