Here is a gorgeous signed limited edition print by famed, much loved western artist Frank McCarthy. Out of 1000 prints made in 1978 this has never been framed and is in pristine new condition, very very vivid colorway. Golden to light up any environment. Lifelike. Bought it in Scottsdale after the annual cowboy artist's big event at the museum along with others and never got around to displaying it. A comfortable large size and impressive. "To Battle" measures in total 20 inches high by 30.5 inches wide before matting and framing. The print has been stored flat never rolled. A fantastic gift! The accompanying paperwork from Greenwich Workshop reads of the piece: "To Battle" depicts a band of Sioux warriors galloping out of their village to meet the oncoming enemy. The scouts have brought in word of the approach and the warriors in the village have painted themselves and their horses, taken up their weapons and are dashing out to meet the threat. There is a long bio as well for Mr. McCarthy Then below it says To Battle, Frank C. McCarthy, 1978, 1000 signed and numbered (on the print it says 528/1000) From an immaculate, smoke free home. Easy pickup off I-5 Tualatin at New Seasons. Outstanding gift! Never been rolled, stored acid free, flat.
