Property Accountant - FT position To be considered for this position you must apply online at: https://corporatecareers-livcommunities.icims.com/jobs/1596/property-accountant/job Primary Purpose of Position: Provides exceptional customer services and financial reporting to our senior living communities by researching and analyzing accounting data. Cash Management Responsibilities -Ensure availability of funds to process check runs. -Balance bank statements. -Prepare/maintain miscellaneous reports as requested by management. Financial Statement Compilation and Review -Perform Month-End accounting software closing procedures and internal accounting department reports. -Balancing of checking, rent, and security accounts. -Calculating and posting of miscellaneous accruals, adjustments, reclassifications, and reversals as needed. -Calculation of monthly management fees. -Submit compiled and reviewed financials monthly to Controller for review. Financial Statement Compilation and Review -Monthly preparation and review of Liv Generations financial statements with calculating and posting of miscellaneous accruals, adjustments, reclassifications, and reversals as needed. -Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Other Tasks -Assist Controller with miscellaneous projects. -Prepare/reconcile miscellaneous billings. -Manage brokerage escrow deposits and checking account. -Maintain insurance and property general files. -Coordinate year end boxing of paid invoices and other accounting files. -Enter journal entries in system as needed. -Provide coverage in absence of Accounts Payable Coordinator. -Provide Back-up telephone support when needed. Requirements: -Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or Associates degree in Accounting plus 3 years general accounting experience or previous senior living accounting experience -Experience in windows based accounting software. -Proficient in Spreadsheets. -General knowledge of word processing.
