Accounting Associate Phoenix AZ

Job Description Position Summary: •Support VP of Finance, Controller and the Accounting Department in several areas consisting of regular recurring responsibilities, assistance as needed and one-time projects. •Perform duties related to the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. •Organize and maintain records such as signed policies, contracts, licenses, tax information and other documents. •Prepare and distribute daily reports. •Perform research and compile data for accounting matters. •Prepare information and support for tax filings, reconciliations and other accounting items. •Create deposit ticket and supporting detail for cash sales. •Organization of invoices, payments, receipts and other accounting records. •Assist with resolving technology and office equipment issues. •Partner with receptionist in ordering, maintaining and organizing office supplies. •Participate with other staff, in rotating schedule, to relieve full-time receptionist for vacations. •Create and run reports as needed. •Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: •High Degree of confidentiality. •1-3 years Accounting related experience preferred. •Strong attention to detail. •Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively. •Committed team player with ability to work well independently and with others to complete tasks and meet deadlines. •Motivated by working in a fast-paced environment with a wide variety of responsibilities. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills. •Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. •Ability to perform research, match and compile information related to accounting details. •Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook). Education: •High school or equivalent required, Accounting degree strongly preferred Approximate schedule would be Monday - Friday from 7:00/8:00am to 1:00/2:00pm. This permanent part-time opportunity includes company 401k opportunities, holiday pay and paid time off. Job Type: Part-time Salary: $17.00 /hour
