Vintage hand tools Are you looking for vintage, used, or antique hand tools to use or collect? If so, please take a look at the Mid-West Tool Collectors Association. We are a non-profit, nation-wide, really a worldwide organization of 4,000 + members. We celebrated our 50th year in 2018. We have in Minnesota a very active group with over 300 members. In MN we have 3 meetings a year, with 200-300 members attending each meet. At the meetings members buy and sell tools amongst themselves, we have educational displays, and demonstrations by local and nationally known craftspeople. Men, women, and children attend and are welcome to the meetings. Upcoming meetings close to central MN is our winter meet in Medina MN on Sunday Feb. 10th. It is our largest meet of the year. The cost of joining and becoming a member of Mid-West is $25 a year. For that cost you will receive our quarterly magazine, the Gristmill, a re-print of a catalog or publication relating to old tools or tool use and you will also receive a Membership Directory. You will receive notice of the meetings in your Area (MN is Area A) as well as the National Meetings. You will be able to attend meetings anywhere in the country, should you be traveling. Each meeting has a registration fee to cover the cost of the site rental and food that is served. The cost to attend Area Meetings ranges from about $15 to $20, the National Meetings are around $50 to $75. You must be a member to attend the meetings, they are not open to the public. Spouses, children, grandchildren and friends of members can attend the meetings at a reduced cost. If you are interested in old hand tools for any reason, you will find our meetings very interesting and educational. For more information please check out our website at: www.mwtca.org Also you can Google us and search YouTube for videos our members have posted about our meetings. You will find that many of the people in the hand tool woodworking community are members of Mid-West. As are all the antique tool dealers. Feel free to call me (John) with any questions you might have about the organization and on the local MN meetings or the National meetings. My cell # is: 612 710 three six one eight. If I don't answer, please leave a message and I will get back to you. SORRY, BUT DUE TO SPAM I WILL NOT ANSWER TEXTS. I WILL ONLY ANSWER EMAILS THAT HAVE YOUR PHONE NUMBER IN IT. Hope to see you at a meeting soon!
