Details:

Now in stock, Second Use Building Materials has stunning old-growth fir lumber, locally sourced, milled & kiln dried, showing off the incredible life-long hidden pathways of *teredo navalis*, otherwise known as the naval shipworm (don't be fooled: they're clams). Once submerged in local saltwaters & used in northwest timber transport of days gone by, these logs have been milled in such a way as to produce a delicate symmetry from the seemingly random channels of the mollusks who called them home. If you've been looking for the perfect pacific architectural accent, you've found it, my friend. Second Use Building Materials has MORE in stock than what you see here. Swing by our SODO store, open to the public 9am - 6pm, 7 days a week! If you can't make it in, check out our inventory online at www.seconduse.com, where we list hundreds of reclaimed and salvaged building materials including antiques, furniture, appliances, doors, windows, live edge lumber, lighting, and so much more. Visit us: 3223 6th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134 Call for more information about our current selection: 206-763-6929 Check us out online: www.seconduse.com | Our Story | Second Use's ever-changing stock of reclaimed building materials is salvaged locally from homes and commercial spaces slated for remodel or demolition. 1,900 tons of doors, cabinets, windows, lighting, lumber, hardware, furniture, and more are diverted from the landfill each year through our SODO retail outlet. This process provides both a more affordable, sustainable alternative to buying new, and a mechanism for passing on the stories that inhabit the homes and businesses of the Puget Sound region. | Do You Have Excess Building Materials? | If you have excess building materials that still have life in them, Second Use can help keep them out of the landfill and often offer cash, store credit, or a donation to local Habitat for Humanity affiliates. | Material Drop Off | Drop off your reusable building materials at our SoDo store daily from 9-5. Full acceptance policies are available on our website: www.seconduse.com/acceptance-policies | Free Removal or Pick Up | Schedule the free removal or pickup of your material with our licensed, bonded, and insured Salvage Services Team. **Items or photos may be representative of actual stock. We strive to update our ads as each item sells but cannot guarantee that an item is still in-stock. Please call to verify the status of a specific item.**
