Really sweet Pit mix, 5yr male, likes dogs, housetrained, 60lb Phoenix AZ

This dog is named Fuego and he's currently at the ASPCA on Gaines St. in Linda Vista. He is a great dog and really needs some help before his jerk owner comes to try to get him back! Here is the story - My sister in law found this dog tied to a pole downtown. She figured out he belongs to this homeless woman who was totally high on drugs. The woman gave my sister in law this dog and another dog so that she could bring them to the shelter and they could find real homes where they'd be taken care of. Well, the druggie lady went and got this dog back. I can't believe they let her have him, but they did. But then he showed up again a few days ago on their website as a dog who was brought in as a stray on Dec. 5, thank god, but he needs a home before they give him back to this person who can't care for him. He is housetrained, very gentle and sweet, and got along fine with the other dog in the house. He was really scared at first, but got over it and became a great house guest. Please go help this dog and make sure he doesn't go back to a person who can't take care of herself, let alone a dog. His adoption fee is $95 and his ID is 283190. The address where he's at is 5500 Gaines St. SD. I'd take him myself but I already have 3 dogs and a cat. He's already fixed too. A whole another issue is that this so called shelter is giving dogs back to homeless crackheads who obviously can't care for them. We need to do something about this. Contact your city councilman and let them know this is going on and must stop!
