Job Description Dynamic Fast-Growing communications company has immediate opening for a Mechanically inclined individual with prior machine shop experience. Applicant should have experience or be familiar with: -Using and reading precision measuring instruments such as Micrometers, Calipers, scales, Gauge Pins -Job setup on a Milling machine and capable of performing 2Axis manual machining -Job set up on a CNC, editing code thru the user interface and creating code on a CAD station for export via a program -How to calculate speeds and feeds for a Milled job based on material -Experience with CAM program to create G code from a 3D cad file re BOBCAD, MASTERCAM ect.. -Ability to accurately produce a part from a 2D drawing using basic machine shop equipt such as a Lathe, Mill, Bandsaw, Drill press, Cold saw, Grinder , Tapping center and belt sander -Familiarity with a cutting or engraving Laser is a Plus! -Knowledge of various material properties and what speeds and tools would apply to each We are looking for someone who is responsible, quick to learn, mechanically inclined and has the ability to learn new skills and techniques either thru OJT or research of their own (i.e. tutorials) Daily duties will include but not be limited to: manufacturing parts from CAD files or 2D drawings Laser etching graphics onto anodized aluminum control panels Drilling holes and tapping of aluminum panels mechanical assembly of precise assemblies from a drawing packet with a parts kit some assembly of electrical wire harnesses, cables and connectors Shop organization and equipt maintenance Forklift certification is a Plus! Applicants reaching the interview phase will be asked to setup a Mill job and demonstrate their ability to read an engineering drawing and explain their machining strategy for the manufacture of the part. Applicants must be a US citizen, be able to pass a drug test and have their own transportation Job Type: Full-time
