Our client provides a broad range of tax and financial services for small businesses, individual and families. They have been in business since 1970 and are seeking a Full Time, Seasonal Tax Advisor for the 2019 Tax Season. This role will adjust to part-time following tax season. In this role, you will accurately fill out all the required forms and use all appropriate adjustments, deductions, and credits to keep clients' taxes to a minimum. In this role you will: Gather information by interviewing clients and by using copies of previous tax returns, wage statements from employers, year-end interest and dividend summaries. May schedule appointments; explain policies and procedures; retrieve data and materials Accurately prepare and check tax return forms, schedules and tax returns and/or perform general office duties related thereto. Interview clients about their work, their investments, their expenses, and any unusual or significant events of the previous year, such as a new job, retirement, home improvements, or capital losses or gains. In this way, preparers pick up clues to possible deductions and credits and then follow up with additional questions to obtain the necessary details. Provide clients with an estimate of final tax liability We are looking for candidates with: A Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university 5 Years Experience Must hold valid license as required by local jurisdiction to prepare tax returns i.e. Licensed Tax Preparer, Licensed Tax Consultant, CTEC, etc. In absence of local licensing must be Enrolled Agent, attorney or Certified Public Accountant. Must hold valid license required by local jurisdiction to supervise tax preparers and act as manager of a tax preparation office. CPE credits must be up to date.
