Lakewinds is looking for a marketing expert who will provide leadership in marketing and brand development to increase market awareness, sales, and member loyalty. The marketing manager will act as a liaison between stores and other support departments to ensure consistency and accuracy along with a culture of support and inclusion. Responsibilities • Create and implement marketing goals and objectives that support the co-op's mission and strategic plan. • Organize and lead external communication plans and programs, including building effective relationships with appropriate external partners. • Develop and support an engaging brand, including collateral and other support materials. • Develop and implement effective in-store décor, signage, and customer-facing communications. • Contribute to strategic planning and plan implementation as a member of the leadership team. • Deliver effective owner and community engagement programs, including in-store events and promotions. • Prepare and manage the marketing departmental operating budget and capital plan. The successful candidate will possess: • 5+ years of marketing and communications management experience, preferably in a grocery or retail environment. • Experience with store development, strategic planning, budget creation and capital planning. • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations. • Innovative and strategic thinker. Capable of developing compelling retail food strategies. • Ability to synthesize data into concise business tactics. • Innate ability to inspire team. • A positive, can-do attitude. • Passion for the local and organic food space.
