Horse riding lessons for children ages 5 and older Phoenix AZ

I am currently offering riding lessons on my own horse. I've been riding for almost 35 years and I excel at teaching young children the basic skills they need to not only ride but care for their own horse. It is not only great exercise for your children but they learn how to take care the basics of horse care not only just how to ride. I only work with beginners as of right now children that I work with are always attached on a lead rope connected to the horse and me so they are never alone on the horse by themselves it takes months of learning to balance and control an animal that size at just a walk. If any parent are interested in teaching their children the responsibilities of caring for an animal and building their self confidence, horse riding can be very therapeutic for children who are experiencing some amounts of stress or bullying. By law it is required that parent sign a waiver stating that they realize that a horse is a large animal and just like any sport children can be injured. Luckily with all the years experience I have I have yet to encounter any problem. But parents should definitely be aware that I do take every precaution especially when it comes to children as to make it as safe experience as it can be. Parents are allowed to stay for the entire time. You can also take photos and video tape lessons for your children to watch and learn from later on at home. I know that it is winter time I usually don't start booking until the weather starts to get a little nicer usually around April but if your child does not mind the cold and it is not snowing or raining we can always book an appointment. I usually recommend when starting out young children that they come either 2 times per month or once every week depending on whether it's therapeutic riding for mental or physical conditions usually once a week for basic children that just want to have fun and learn how to ride and care for their own pony possibly one day. I am located at a private Barn and I own my own horse. The barn does not offer any type of lessons so it would be strictly through myself that you would have to contact. Usually a half an hour lesson is around $50 and an hour lesson is $80 but that does not include that time that it takes for your son or daughter to brush their horse get them ready that only counts as time spent on the horse. I know as a parent you want the best and safest conditions for your child and I was taught how to ride a horse before I can walk my father used to be a professional Polo player. So I learned as a child and I know how it is to be a child and need that reassurance and confidence and I've always found that especially being around horses they offer me a great escape when the world gets tough for me. I am very grateful to my father for introducing me into the equestrian world. I only hope to give another child the happiness that I have enjoyed.
