These services include a wide variety of distribution/mainline construction, gas operations and maintenance, and meter/system interface services.  SiteWise service offerings are enhanced by additional departments dedicated to utility locating, hydro excavation, subsurface utility engineering and route mapping. We are currently seeking a Training Manager for our Safety, Quality and Training team. The Technical Training Manager will provide technical and strategic expertise in the management and execution of training specific to gas compliance and technical training. He or she will coordinate efforts to develop processes and procedures to fulfill regulatory requirements, customer gas standards and Company policy. The candidate must have strong leadership traits and embody the core values of the company: Trust, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Teamwork, and Safety. This position works well in a fast paced environment, is eager to partner with different departments to scale the company. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: â¢Develops training curricula for safety, quality and technical natural gas construction and maintenance compliance. â¢Oversees personnel needs of the training department including selecting, coaching, disciplining and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into the termination, compensation and promotion decisions. â¢Conducts field and office compliance assessments of Company personnel to ensure adherence to all PHMSA. DOT and Company standards and policies. â¢Reviews Company documents and records to ensure documentation is being captured, stored, reviewed and disposed of properly. â¢Works with the gas operating departments to identify compliance risks and develop both short- and long-term solutions. Identifies opportunities for improvement and develops solutions to operational challenges. â¢Ensures compliance standards are incorporated into Company policies and processes. Addresses and incorporates new standards as necessary to promote and ensure compliance. â¢Communicate with Company personnel at every level to maintain understanding and knowledge of Company requirements, expectations and updates. Creates and maintains contact with other departments, requesting information, providing suggestions, offering alternatives and assistance. â¢Monitor key operational data to quantify compliance and progress. â¢Ascertains internal best practices among field operations to strategically implement benefits system-wide. â¢Tracks, analyzes and dashboards to communicate key performance metrics. â¢Follows Company policies and practices while professionally representing SiteWise in interactions. â¢Plan and/or lead the implementation of any developed solutions and track results. â¢Balance multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. â¢Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: â¢Experience in the Utility Industry, either with a Utility and/or contractor or similar environment is a plus. â¢Learning management systems. â¢Development of content. Skills & Abilities: â¢Respected as an operational improvement resource, consultant and partner; not an adversary. â¢Good communicator, seeing value in developing expectations and practices supported by written policies and procedures. â¢Ability to develop and prepare training presentations and present technical training materials. â¢Ability to use a personal computer and software such as email, Excel spreadsheets, word processing and presentation creation. â¢Must be able to multi-task, be self-motivated, thrive in a fast-paced environment, challenge status quo and ask why and work with limited supervision. â¢Performs detail-oriented tasks and provides information based on analysis of facts.
