A/P Assistant / Data Entry Clerk Mackin's Auto Body is a multi-location company currently seeking an entry level an Accounts Payable Assistant. The ideal candidate MUST have excellent attention to detail and an interest in accounting. Clerk Skills and Requirements: • Must possess strong work ethics • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with good follow-through • Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner • Possess strong organizational and time management skills, and be a self-starter • Ability to handle high volume of transactions • Ability to work with multiple roles and locations • Manage vendor relationships • Must be able to follow standard filing procedures • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness Accounts Payable Clerk Job Duties: • Assist with vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions • Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions • Respond to vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices • Assist with month end closing as well as with other projects as needed • Assist with annual 1099 filing, prepare various other quarterly or annual reports • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential • Document processes and procedures • Interact and effectively communicate with other employees with integrity and efficiency Education and Experience: • High school diploma required, college courses in accounting a plus • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel • Experience with Sage Business Works is a plus • Mathematical aptitude Mackin's Auto Body offers: • Competitive pay!!!!! • Monday through Friday, NO WEEKENDS!! • Excellent Medical and Dental Package • PAID Time Off • PAID Holidays • 401k with company match • Opportunities for advancement All applicants are subject to drug screening and background checks.
