Position: Bilingual Claims Investigator (Spanish Speaking) Starting Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on experience Weekly Hours: Part-time, 15-20 hours per week average Home Office Location: San Diego, CA Statement Work Territory: San Diego and surrounding regions Employee Benefits: Life Insurance offered and 401(k) retirement plan with 4% Company Match offered *Applicants must be at least 21 years of age due to company auto policy requirement Job Summary: DigiStream Investigations, a fast-growing private investigations firm seeks a part-time Claims Investigator with formal Spanish-speaking ability currently residing in the San Diego region. The Claims Investigator will conduct insurance investigations with subjects and witnesses to workers comp injury claims in the greater San Diego region. The Claims Investigator will be responsible for scheduling, preparing, and conducting claims investigations and communicating with the General Manager regarding results obtained and updating clients as needed. Responsibilities: - Conduct in-person recorded interviews with injured workers, supervisors, witnesses, and management regarding industrial accidents - Conduct accident scene investigations including scene photographs, measurements, and analysis of equipment to determine cause of injury or third-party liability - Obtain and secure evidence, such as audio recordings, medical releases, photographs, police reports, court records, and other evidence - Complete well-written and in-depth reports on case findings within 48 hours of statement - Track and maintain hourly billing - Work under deadlines and multitask Requirements: - Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred (formal Spanish-speaking preferred) - Bachelor's Degree required (Criminal Justice, English, Psychology, History, Political Science or other writing intensive major preferred) - Ability to read, analyze, and distill information from documents and forms and apply it to an investigation - Ability to interact with subjects of an investigation in a professional manner while developing rapport and extracting necessary information - Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form - Ability to maintain confidentiality of information - Ability to juggle multiple cases at once; maintaining work quality and turnaround time while communicating effectively with SIU supervisor - Strong research and writing skills - Confidence in own instincts! - Must pass a mandatory Background History check - Must be at least 21 years of age Physical Demands: - Sitting for long periods of time - Driving to and from assignments - Keyboarding - Viewing computer monitor - Lifting up to 25 lbs Please apply at our website: www.digistream.com/Company-Info/Employment-Opportunities/Personal-Information
