BABY PARROTLETS - HAND FED AND VERY TAME Phoenix AZ

Our pet parrotlets, Kiwi and Camo, had babies again this year. I have hand-fed "clean green" (pure green, strong blood line) babies now available. They are weaned and ready for a loving home. I hand fed all of the babies from 10 days old (about the time that they begin to open their eyes). They are all very tame and enjoy being held by adults and children. Re-homing fee listed below. You get what you pay for with these hand fed babies. (I do NOT "crop feed" as some breeders do.) Your baby will come with a starter supply of food. You provide a safe enclosure. Please note that even though they are small, parrotlets need a decent sized flight cage with multiple food dishes (vertical space, meaning height, is not as important as width and depth). Parrotlets need room from side to side to fly and play, and so benefit greatly from the largest possible cage you can provide for them. A cage suitable for a parakeet or cockatiel is considered by most to be too small for a parrotlet. Two males available - $200 each (The boys have the deep blue rump.) Four females available - $175 each They are weaned to Roudybush Nibles (pellet food), along with fresh spinach / greens, broccoli and other fresh whole foods supplied daily. If you are not familiar with Parrotlets, please research them. Parrotlets are the smallest parrot species. They are very small, active parrots with huge personalities requiring daily attention. They only grow to about 5-6 inches or so, and as such, they require enclosures with 1/2" (half inch) bar spacing - nothing greater - including no ornate scrolls or "gaps" in the bars, etc. Bar spacing any wider, or gaps, can be dangerous for them. Because of their small size, they are not loud like large birds, and so are uniquely suited for people in apartments or condominiums. Their life expectancy is 10 - 20 years with proper care and nutrition. They can learn to talk and mimic (especially when kept as a single pet / only bird), but have very small voices.
