Note: Unless you know how to change the timing belt (not the fan belt) fixing this is going to cost a few hundred dollars at a mechanic. If you are good with a wrench and have the tools, then OK. You can fix it for the cost of the belt, gasket and a battery. There are youtube videos on how to do it so you can get an idea what is involved. OK back to the advertisement. Selling my Mom's car. Been sitting about 8 months because she went blind. Needs a timing belt and a battery. (Non interference engine. So broken belt doesn't hurt the engine. It just stops running) A timing belt is INSIDE the engine. It's not a fan belt. It requires taking stuff off the front of the engine to get to it. No one ever cleaned it but the mechanic next door took very good care of the mechanical stuff. Most of the stuff under the hood was replaced before the belt broke. Car is faded, dirty and worn looking but all body panels are still good. Never been wrecked. Has a Sunroof and a roof rack. Interior is dirty and worn. Mom went blind so we never fixed it. Now we need the space. Passed smog on it's last check. Just been sitting most of the time since. These engines go forever and it's big enough in the back to sleep in. Great camping car. Transmission has less than 10,000 miles on it. Car just needs a timing belt, a tune up and oil change (just to make it last) and a battery and yer good to go. Tires are still inflated. I have the title here somewhere but so far, I can't find it. If need be, I will take you to AAA and transfer it into your name for you. Firm at 400 since the parts are worth triple that. Thanks DAve
