Viper is a well trained 5 year-old QH mare I raised on my farm. I can't say enough good things about her. She's quiet, easy to catch, and a real pleasure to ride. I've been using her for the past 2 years on my farm as a lead guide horse, but she is just as happy in the middle of the line of horses or at the back. She rides with a level, QH head set. She's shod on the front (we have rocky terrain) and trimmed on the back. She's easy to bathe, shoe, load, and trailer. She isn't spooky and will ride out alone if you ask her to. She'll go through mud, cross creeks and bridges, and she doesn't mind dogs out on the trail with you. Viper has a really nice build (nice wide chest and butt), nice jaw, and straight profile. She is also on my website with pictures of her as a foal with her Mom and pictures with her as a coming 3 year-old with her Dad (by then a gelding), so you have the rare opportunity to see both her sire and dam. This is a great opportunity to buy a child safe horse at a very young age. With that being said, I'd prefer to sell her to a teen or adult to ensure that she continues to progress in her training. After all, she's just 5. I'd like for her to have the benefit of continuing to blossom under the direction of a confident rider. This is a horse you could keep for a lifetime. If we say a 6 year-old child with no riding experience can ride the horse, then they can - and have. And if we say we wouldn't put anyone younger than an inexperienced 10 year-old, then you shouldn't consider the horse for your 5 year-old to ride on their own.
