I hate to sell this bike. This is the best motorcycle I've ever owned. I bought it new in 2007 to ride to Alaska, but family circumstances made it impossible soon after. I never had another real chance. Here are the things you need to know about this bike: It's a rugged (but comfortable) Adventure machine. There are probably $5000.00 worth of upgrades. Most noticeable is the Safari 13 gallon fuel tank. If you would prefer the stock tank, I still have it and we can swap tanks. (I'll keep whichever tank you don't want). The custom Renazco seat is probably the best seat available anywhere and is honestly comfortable ALL DAY LONG. The suspension has been improved by Precision Concepts Racing. It has an Akropovic exhaust for lighter weight and improved performance. It comes with the 3 KTM hard bags (left, right, and rear) AND a KTM soft tank bag. All of the luggage can be removed or installed in under a minute. See pictures. That's a whole lot of storage space for any journey you have in mind!) The lighting has also been greatly improved. The headlight is the European version, which is much better than the standard U.S. version. Additionally, there are 2 Touratech halogen lights that light up the road both wide and far. This bike lights your way through the night at a level you've probably never experienced, without blinding oncoming drivers. There is also a Scotts steering stabilizer for when the going gets rough, on or off road. There is a convenient battery charging port in the little compartment on the top of the gas tanks. There are many additional small improvements all over the bike. A brute of a skid plate, frame protectors, quick change axles (for easy tire changes), vibration reducing material in the handlebars, an improved windscreen, a GPS mount, an air horn, and more. One of the important things to know about this bike, is that it was the last carburetor version of the big Adventure bike that KTM makes. That makes it a much more desirable bike to take on a trip where there won't be modern motorcycle shops all along the way. Fuel injection is nice, but when it goes wrong and you are in the middle of nowhere, you could be in big trouble. If you know even a little bit about motorcycle mechanics, a carburetor is a fairly easy thing to fix if something goes wrong. Since I built this bike to make the trip to Alaska and back, ease of service was a top priority. It's also a bit lighter than the current large KTM Adventure bikes. it has very few miles on it too. It has 8380 at this moment, to be exact. You won't find another one like it in this condition. It has been carefully maintained If you want a bike capable of taking you anywhere in the world, or if you just want a unique and fun bike for commuting to work, this bike does anything you want to do, and does it very well. .
