Details:

Absolutely incredible record book Bighorn Sheep Ram shoulder mount for sale. This Bighorn Ram was taken in fair chase in 1985 in western Montana. At the time it was top 10 in Montana and top 50 in the world. The ram was scored and mounted by famed taxidermist Jack Atcheson. (Atcheson was a dedicated advocate for Montana's public lands, helping in the fight to establish the state's stream access law and an internationally known hunting guide.) His shoulder mount of this record ram is spectacular. Although there are higher scoring rams, few are more beautiful than this ram due in part to the excellent taxidermy. But more importantly, the ram has some incredible measurements. At nearly 45 inches long, its horns are in the same range with some of the top sheep in the world. Perhaps more impressive is the incredible tip to tip measurement of 28 5/8 inches! Bighorn rams of this size typically broom their horn tips to stop them from obstructing their vision. This results in shorter length measurements, much smaller tip to tip measurements and loss of symmetry. Their horns continue to grow thicker and, in some cases, are quite massive resulting in higher overall scores. But they lose the regal curl and spread of a ram like this one. Take for example the Bovey Ram, long the world record holder. Its horns are only about an inch longer than this ram and the tip to tip measurement is actually smaller. I do not mean to suggest that this ram compares record wise to the Bovey Ram! Only a few can compare. The Bovey Ram is currently on sale for $50,000 and is worth every penny of that given its decades long position at the number one fair chase spot in Boone and Crockett records. However, this Montana ram, side by side, is every bit as beautiful as the Bovey Ram. I would argue more beautiful. And it can be on your wall for 1,000s of dollars less! Make that tens of 1,000s. Recently, what appears to be the largest known Bighorn ram horns in history were found on Wild Horse Island in Montana. Although they are not fair chase, the horns are remarkable. Tip to tip the new record book ram horns are 24 5/8 inches. That's a full 4 inches SMALLER than this ram. Again, these found horns are massive and in a class of their own. However, on your wall this Montana ram will be just as admired by all who view him. Rams of this class almost never become available for sale. And hunters are now bidding nearly half a million dollars to hunt for Bighorn sheep in the best areas. Yes, that's right, the Bighorn Sheep Foundation auctioned a tag to hunt for a Bighorn sheep for $480,000. Needless to say, that ram is not going to be for sale! So this is your rare chance to own such a spectacular animal for less than $20,000. Please, only serious inquiries. Delivery with paid mileage will be considered. It's my hope this ram will stay in Montana. So, delivery to Montana will be considered for much lower cost. This mount is properly plugged and legal for sale.
