These two are my babies and I hate to part with them but sadly after having a baby of our own my now ex fiancée and I have split and neither of us can care for the dragons as they should be. Donât get me wrong, I have them and make sure they are well fed and the tank is kept clean, but as a full time single dad who works 50+ hours a week I simply donât have the time to give them the attention they deserve, or more importantly to help turn the eggs the produce together into hatchlings. When we were together, without any special equipment, just a 10gallon tank and heat lamp we actually got 5 to hatch and 4 to thrive. We sold them for $20 each and their new owners loved them, we got no complaints at all. Seeing as though, when property cared for and everything, she lays between 100-200 eggs per year, if taken seriously anyone could make real good money selling off the babies. Even if you have zero interest in doing that, and just want two awesome pets, youâd have it with these guys. Theyâre super friendly (my 2yr old holds and pets them!) really relaxed and cool pets. They love warm bathes and, of course, love to eat. You can feed them each super worms (very large mealworms sold at Petsmart) by hand, but I usually burry them in a wild green salad for them which yes I do go out and pick for them myself - with my 2yr olds help of course! (dandelion flowers and greens - part of upscale salads for humans believe it or not - clover flowers and clover itself , alfalfa with or without the little yellow flowers, and small wild strawberries if theyâre around) or if itâs winter I use romaine, carrot shavings and fruit. They absolutely love crickets too, but they say youâre over feeding them if you give them more than 5-6 crickets each but these two dragons can eat 30ea without a problem, if I only gave them 5-6ea theyâd still seem like theyâre starving! Iâve looked into getting an incubator and actually getting the eggs to hatch and sell off the young. The price really wasnât that big a deal (around $300-$400 for a decent one) but the time and care it would take while working nearly all the time and caring for my 2yr old around that, it just doesnât seem like something I could keep up with and Iâd want to do it properly. Anyway, I could go on forever about these two. One was a âfancyâ (the female) and one a regular (you guessed it!) but the babies we actually got to hatch (again by not even really trying, doing nothing right and just letting nature take its course) were gorgeous. They were more on the black side than their parents, much more, with amazing diamond pattens down the back) and all five sold within a few hours at $20ea - like I said, she lays upwards of 200 eggs per year, between 12-16 per bunch and only weeks apart (he wonât leave her alone, especially when the tanks the right temp and theyâre getting fed a lot). My price of $400 is absolutely firm but comes with the tank, lid, lighting fixtures, bulbs, a desk the tank fits perfectly on, heat rock and anything else I have meant for them. I really donât care if they donât sell because I know a breeding pair like this with such great dispositions themselves is an absolutely steal at the price Iâm asking. I want them going to a good home with people who may attempt to get their eggs to become hatchlings (if so Iâd have to insist on getting one of them back, a hatchling that is, as part of the selling price) and anyone who would try to lowball an already very low price isnât the right person to have these two. If they donât sell then Iâll gladly keep them and perhaps seriously try doing things right with her eggs and sell the hatchlings off myself - Iâd sure make more than my asking price and the cost of any additional equipment if I choose to do so anyway! Act fast before I change my mind! Feel free to email or text any questions, unless it involves asking to pay less! Lol - but seriously! FYI: instead of using stored pics I decided to go take new ones of them, so they were taken just a few minutes ago. Sorry about the tank being a little messy, theyâre both shedding and the destroyed their salad from earlier.
