Selling a â77 Musicman Sixty-Five 1x12 combo. This is the earlier, more desirable version with the 12AX7 phase inverter tube and tremolo/reverb effects. No phaser and no built-in distortion. I bought the amp used and was told the 6-way rotary switch on the second channelâs 1st input was added by Paul Rivera (of Rivera amps fame) when he was at Valley Arts Guitars in the late â70s/early â80s. It changes the value of the tone capacitor used in the treble circuit. This is referred to as his âStage 1â modification. The extension speaker jack has also been modified to be a âLine Outâ from the amp. All the original electrolytic capacitors (B+ filtering, bias and phase inverter board) have been replaced and will be included with the amp as proof of service, and the bias has been set to factory-spec by myself, an amp repair tech here in Los Angeles county. Other than that the original moulded plastic speaker cable had an intermittent short in it and was replaced with a new one. These are becoming sought-after as their reputation as a reliable, hassle-free alternative to all-tube Fender amps is becoming more widely-known. Feel free to ask me any questions.
