This lift was custom-built for me to maximize clearance. I had a ceiling height of less than 9 feet in my old condo garage and I was able to fit two cars in a single bay with it. This was accomplished by having drop-down "pockets" for the rear wheels and treads welded to the bottom of the ramps rather than the top. The motor is conventional 110V. The ramp portion of the lift measures 7' x 12'. Overall footprint is about 104" x 170"  The four corner uprights are 77" tall. The maximum clearance for the vehicle on the bottom is about 60" (5 feet). I believe the lift is rated at a minimum of 2 tons, probably more. I've had a 3800 lb vehicle on the lift without issues. Regardless of whether you have limited overheard clearance or not, it's an easy way to put two cars in one bay. Of course it's also useful for doing service to a vehicle from underneath, be it a simple oil change or a transmission removal. With much more garage space now, I've found I really don't have a need for this lift. It's "demo-able" with short notice for anyone who's seriously interested in purchasing it.
