It will last your child from about 5 to 16 years old, or more: you have to go with their inseam (leg length measurement) in reality - and this bike accommodates a 16.5 to 30 inch inseam! This bike also accommodates for various torso and arms lengths with it's adjustable handlebar stem and variable-position crank arms! It is lighter than many high-end adult bikes if they were of the same size! Based on the aluminium frame and fork of the Trek's Mystic 20 bike, everything else was completely custom fitted: - A new bottom bracket was installed to replace the single-piece one to allow for the normal 9/16" pedals (lightweight aluminum Wellgo pedals). - As you can observe, the crank arms have two (2!) positions for threading in of the pedals (photo #8) - as the child's legs grow, you have the ability to make the adjustment. - Alloy-rimmed (Xrims) 20 inch wheels with a free-wheeling (means you can spin pedals backwards just like on an adult bike) rear hub (joytech hubs) were outfitted with Sweetskiz 20x1.95" purple-white Hibiscus reflective tires and topped off with purple metal nipple caps. [Because these Hibiscus reflective tires are super rare and are no longer produced, I will supply an additional brand new set of regular uniform purple color tires with your purchase.] - White mud guards / fenders and chain guard were custom-made and put on. - Swiss-made aluminum rear rack was custom-fitted onto the bicycle. - Matching pink-purple front basket was custom-fitted. - Far longer quill stem with variable angle headset (also all-aluminum) was installed - this allows to not only raise or lower the handlebar but to also either to bring the handle bar closer or further to the rider. - Aluminum Scott "mustache"-shaped handlebar installed for greater comfort. - Front and rear small hand cantilever handbrakes were installed, and the coaster brake removed. - Two (2!) saddles (Velo "Trek" and Velo "Divine") and two (2!) aluminum seatposts (Kalin) are included to allow kids with inseam from 16.5 through 30 inches (!!!) to ride this bicycle! - Front and rear extra-bright LED lights were installed. - Color-matching bell installed. - Rear view mirror installed. - Undersaddle bag installed. - Kick-stand installed. - Water bottle cage holder installed. - Adjustable training wheel set is included. - A custom-built dumping trailer was built and fitted for this bike. NOTE: This is a custom-built bicycle that is sold as like new with the following disclaimer: it has been restored to like-new condition. No chips, dents, or rust. You may find one or two scratches with a magnifying glass - this is due to storage. Tires are not new, but in excellent condition and will last you 5 to 10 years of normal use.
