In addition to everything the CLD-99 delivered, this player also has CD-G functionality for the karaoke fans out there. Not to mention the brushed aluminium finish of the body that looks much better in your home theater setup than the cheesy 80's rosewood panels of the Elite series. The original remote is included. B&K DT-1 AC-3 Demodulator - Back in the laserdisc days, you needed an external component to demodulate a Dolby Surround (AC-3) signal before your receiver would accept it. With this piece of hardware, you'll be able to enjoy the full range of audio functions offered by your player. It also has coaxial and TOSLINK inputs and will automatically selects whichever input is receiving a signal so you'll only have to run one cable out of it to enjoy Dolby Digital or PCM audio. 100v Stepdown Transformer - This is necessary to power a 100V component from an American wall socket. This one allows you to select whether you'd like to plug in a 100V (Japanese) or 120V (American) device.
